George Lee Allen, 58, of Lewiston, died Sunday, January 27, 2002, at his home.
He was born Aug. 26, 1943, at Portland, Ore., to George and Ruth Allen. He attended grade school in Yakima, Wash., until 1950 when he moved to Lewiston and completed his education. He served in the U.S. Navy for two years.
He married Jan Bruun and had one daughter, Billy Jo Adams, who resides in Denver, Colo. He had five grandchildren: Lora, Robin, Rainbow, Elizabeth and John. He also had three great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Joann; mother Ruth Allen of Lewiston; and sister Barbara Willows and husband Dan of Whitter, Alaska. He will be missed by numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and a grandson, John.
Private services will be held at Malcom’s Brower-Wann Memorial Chapel at Lewiston. The family suggests memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church or the YWCA crisis center, both in Lewiston.
