JULIE KAY DUFOUR DELAND

JULIE DUFOUR DELAND

March 31, 2016

Our beloved Julie passed away peacefully in the early morning hours Thursday, March 31, 2016, at Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett, Washington.  Julie was a beautiful woman inside and out, a truly special woman who influenced and impacted many people’s lives, young and old. She was beloved.

Her spark of life will always be remembered. She was a treasure–someone who inspired others to live with joy and laughter and love. It’s comforting to know her bright spirit lives on in so many hearts.

Julie is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Larry DeLand; son Deron Kosoff (Margo) of Corvallis, Ore.; stepsons Mike DeLand (Dorie) of Bow, Wash., Scot DeLand (Elise) of Bellevue, Wash., and Eric DeLand (Stacy) of Snohomish, Wash.; brother Barry Dufour (Charla) of Santa Barbara, Calif,; grandchildren Brenna, Will, Ren, Alec, Cela, Ethan and Alec; niece Toni Harrich (Dufour) of Lewiston; nephew Scott Dufour of Santa Barbara, Calif,; many loving cousins; and many loving friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Ted and Jean Dufour; and beloved brother, Doug Dufour.

Julie did not want a funeral. Her longtime church, St. Michael Catholic Church in Snohomish, Wash., blessed her ashes in a beautiful ceremony and also honored her in Mass. We will honor her every day by remembering her and smiling and enjoying her spirit alive in us.

A journal of the past year as well as memories and condolences are shared at www.caringbridge.org/visit/juliedeland/journal.
