Marlene Marie Fuchs passed away Thursday, May 31, 2012, from cancer. She was the youngest child of Frank and Mary Fuchs. Marlene was born April 6, 1943, in Lewiston, and lived her entire life in the valley.

She graduated from Lewiston High School in 1961 and was never married. Marlene was office manager for Dr. Stack for 25 years, then 15 years for Dr. Pakula.

Surviving Marlene are an older brother, Kenneth and wife Dolores of Spokane, and their children, Carla, Rhonda, Roger and Brenda; an older sister, Dolores Andrews of Malta, Mont., and her children, Paul, Diane and Ernie; sister-in-law Anne Fuchs; and nephews Steve and Les Fuchs. Marlene was preceded in death by her older brother, Cal Fuchs, and her parents.

Marlene was an avid bowler and traveled extensively throughout the United States in bowling tournaments, winning numerous awards. She loved flowers and helped design flower arrangements for Our Lady of Lourdes Church for many years. She was a life member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Lewiston.

A celebration of Marlene’s life will begin at noon Saturday with a celebration of Mass at St. Stanislaus Church, followed by a lunch. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Normal Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be contributed to a Hospice of one’s choice.  She will be missed by all who knew her.
