Ros was born Oct. 18, 1942, to A. Vernon and Fern Rognstad in Lewiston. He grew up in Lewiston and graduated from Lewiston High School in 1961 and the University of Idaho in 1965. He was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. After graduating from college, he moved to Boise, where he was a bank examiner for the Department of Finance for 2 ½ years.

He returned to Lewiston in December of 1967 and entered the insurance business with his father. While in the insurance business, he served on the advisory boards for three different insurance companies for a total of 11 years. He retired from the insurance business in March of 1995.

Ros was active in the Lewiston Jaycees and the Orchards Kiwanis Club and served as an officer in both. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge. He was an avid golfer and won 11 Club Championships, two in the same year, two of the four Valley Championships held, three Whing Ding Low Gross titles and three Whing Ding Sole Survivors.

He is survived by his two children, Mia Lyn (Rognstad) Wexler of Clarkston, and Shelby Quinn Rognstad of Sandpoint, Idaho.

He will be missed. There will be a celebration of Ros’s life at 5 p.m. through the evening Friday at the Lewiston Golf and Country Club. All are welcome.
