Bonnie Jean (Maynard) Greer was called to heaven by our heavenly Father on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2015, at Pullman Regional Hospital of natural causes. She was 72.

Bonnie was born Oct. 19, 1942, in Kinzua, OR, to Daniel O. and Marjorie A. (Akins) Maynard. She grew up in the Kooskia and Kamiah area and attended both Lewiston and Clarkston high schools.

Bonnie married Philip W. Greer Sr. on Jan. 12, 1962, in Nezperce. Bonnie worked as a cook for the Lewiston School District and taught Sunday school and vacation Bible school for more than 20 years at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Clarkston. She also held office in the Ladies Aid program at the church for many years.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, Philip; sons Philip W. Greer Jr. and Todd D. Greer; daughter Debi J. Johnson; sister Susan Smith; stepsister Carol Webb; grandchildren Brian, Tyler and Austin Hunt, David and Iluana Johnson, Kyle Akin , Aaron Greer and Mark Obregon; and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings Larry Maynard, Marian Tritt and Jack Maynard; half brothers Burell, Dan, Frank and Mead Maynard and Betty Chase.

A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at Mountain View Funeral Home, 3521 Seventh St., Lewiston. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 1107 14th St., Clarkston, with Pastor Dave Naumann officiating. The family requests that any memorial donations be made to Valley Bible Academy at St. John’s Lutheran Church.
