JAMES FORKNER

James M. Forkner, 31, Madison, Wis., a former resident of Lewiston, died Saturday night from injuries suffered in a one-car accident at Madison Christmas Eve.

Forkner was the son of Mr. and  Mrs. Ted R. Forkner, 1703 5th Ave. N.  He was born April 27, 1943 at Sacramento, Calif. and moved to Lewiston as a child with his parents.  He graduated  from Lewiston High School in 1961.  He enlisted in the Navy and served four years aboard the USS America, an aircraft carrier.  After his marriage to Mary Burns at Lewiston, he moved to Madison.  He was a self-employed truck driver.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by a son from a former marriage, Kenneth J. Casey, Pocatello; two sisters, Mrs. William Alspach and Mrs. Keith Everhart, both of Lewiston; and three brothers, Frank, Michael and Robert, all of Lewiston.

A memorial service will be held at Madison and the body returned to Lewiston for burial.  The Brower-Wann Funeral Home is in charge.  A rosary will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Brower-Wann Chapel.  A requiem mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.  The Rev. Fr. Jerome Murray will officiate.
