Clarkston resident Robert A. Blewett, a millwright at Lewiston’s Potlatch Corp., died of cancer Thursday at Tri-State Memorial Hospital in Clarkston. He was 50.
The son of Nye L. and Mildred Sarbacher Blewett, he was born Nov. 26, 1942, at Cottonwood. He attended schools at Lewiston, graduating from Lewiston High School in 1961. After completing his education he entered the U. S. Air Force, and served in France and Germany from 1963-1967.
He married Charlene Baker July 5, 1968, at Coeur d’Alene. The couple made their home at Clarkston, and he worked as a millwright at Potlatch Corp. from 1968 until this year. He enjoyed camping, riding motorcycles, and spending time with his family. He was a member of the Potlatch Credit Union board of directors.
Survivors include his wife of Clarkston; two sons, Brett Blewett of Lewiston and Dustin Blewett of Clarkston; his mother of Lewiston; and two sisters, Karen Edwards of Lewiston and Anita Epstein of Federal Way, Wash.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Vineland Cemetery in Clarkston with the Rev. Pat Blewett of Cole Community Church at Boise officiating. The family suggests memorials be given to the Robert A. Blewett Children’s Trust Fund, c/o Potlatch Credit Union, 3113 E. Main, Lewiston 83501. Merchant Funeral Home in Clarkston is handling the arrangements.
